Podcast # 44: The Background of 7 Not so well known WS characters
Prior to last weeks Podcast, we talked about the concepts and backgrounds of the Popular characters of Bedford Valley; Due to the awesome reception from our viewers, we’ve decided to introduce the not so well known characters for last weeks Podcast and here’s how it went:
So without further ado, let’s get acquainted with them courtesy of our very own lead writer, Kelsey Lang. Woohoo!
# 1: Ben Andrews
A forty-three year old meteorologist who only shows up in horse racing events, making him available for a conversation on specific dates. He is a happy man who takes his job seriously, but is annoyed with his anchorman who makes rare appearances.
If you want to see him, just turn on the TV and he’ll cheerfully forecast the weather anytime you desire. In other words, if he’s not busy showing up in an event, he’ll be busy taking over your TV!
# 2: Jack Brant
A forty-four year old proud owner of Brant’s Woodworks who would gladly upgrade the structures in your farm and making it the best it can be so long as he’s paid.
The problem is that he just won’t stop talking about the biggest and mightiest piece of wood he’s ever seen, and he can’t even recognize you – he thinks you’re Dr. Jansen; who is just way too tall and handsome to be mistaken as you.
Must be because his eyes are covered by his bushy eyebrows.
# 3: Karl Kidd
Jessica and Will’s forty-four year old dad who looks just too young to be of that age. He works at the General store that sells basic seeds, tools, kitchen utensils and anything you might not find in any other store.
Karl’s occupation in the general store is that of a… doormat. Okays not literally, but he is treated like one by his wife, Jane. You can cheer him up by buying something from the store.
# 4: Linda Underhil
The youngest bachelorette being at the age of nineteen, and with a name that is just hard to remember. Try to get “Rosalind Gwen Cloelia Underhill” right in one go. She is the daughter of the Mayor and Roselyn Underhill and she takes after her mother.
Linda is not exactly the ideal person you would want to spend a lot of time with because she is just downright stuck up and rude to those who seem like mere commoners to her and likes to dig up dirt on anyone’s shortcomings without getting her hands dirty.
Try giving her a gift, and watch it get intimate with the Earth a few seconds later. Probably the best reason to pursue her is to make her mother bust a nerve.
#5: Luanna Knight
The Town reverend and the grandmother to Linda who looks after the really well-maintained church of Bedford.
Unlike her daughter and granddaughter, she isn’t despicable and lives up to her title as reverend to help those in need. Still, you should remain cautious around her as she becomes quite the chatterbox the moment you give her the chance.
On the side, some of the viewers actually think her kindness is a facade and that she was the actual owner of the farm that you bought in the beginning of the game, we can only say “No Comment.” 🙂
#6: Stefan Giles
The second-oldest children of the four Giles family who runs the local animal store to help their ranch. His older brother is Edward while his younger siblings are the twins Panca and Ponco.
Stefan is an awkward, but sweet guy with a liking for reading and has an interest in technology. He likes nicknaming people (for example, he refers to the player as “New One.”) and has a fondness of using uncommon words that may baffle others giving him an extensive and interesting vocabulary.
#7: Vince Lee
Jack’s a very enthusiastic apprentice who has been living with the Brants since his apprenticeship began, and it looks like it won’t be ending very soon.
Vince really idolizes his master to the point of sharing his same obsession with wood and even imitating him. While he is aware that life isn’t just about working with wood, he does not really want anything to do it.
Whenever he and Jack have a project, they have the habit of making absurd penalties if they fail to make the deadline such as sitting on the ocean for two hours during Winter. Be sure to look out for their hilarious bets when you socialize with them!
During the podcast, Kelsey also made some side comments gave some time to answer some questions from our viewers:
- The Wiki is lacking love rivals. They were omitted because of spoiler content.
- Several viewers hate Roselyn!
- The main reason to marry Linda is to piss Roselyn off.
- Will’s character arc will reveal why he’s straight.
- Ghost Kelsey voice for DLC! Kelsey keeps coming up with random DLC ideas
- There are no countries in the Wild season world.
- Claude and Frank remain as fan favorite ‘husbandos’, even though Frank is not a bachelor.
- There’s an idea about befriending everyone to kick Roselyn out of town.
- The Mayor’s voice actor (Jon Doodles) joins in.
- There will be a way to let a Bachelor / Bachelorette know that you see them as “Just Friends”.
- It will be possible to make most of the people hate. Not everyone will hate you, but a few will never like you either.
- You will be able to ride a horse around town, but that’s not in the build for now.
- Maya will be the only lesbian among the Bachelorettes.
Well, that’s all for this Podcast, we’re trying something new so tell us what you think and see you next time!
